Researcher Freddy Silva writes: "The explanation from Lucy is partly correct. Allow me to expand on how the crop circles are formed. In my book 'Secrets In The Fields' I describe how sound is one of the main forces acting on the plants. There is ultrasound, which can be focussed like a light beam to create very fine detail. This is textbook stuff. It can be programmed to tell the plant how to bend at specific nodes simply by the type of resonance applied; the frequency in the high MHz range is also responsible for inducing psychological effects. My colleague Paul Vigay and I measured this time and again. Thus, the higher the frequency the more complex the detail; and in crop circles the higher the frequency we detected the more complex the shape. This is also concurrent with patterns filmed in water and caused by audible sound- cymatics. "By the way, this frequency range also causes psychological effects, such as those reported by thousands of people who've interacted with the formations. But the really important part is infrasound. "Sound below the human hearing range, when coupled with around five atmospheres of pressure, can boil water in one nanosecond. This was proved at Stanford University. In the case of a water-filled plant stem, the infrasonic wave boils and expands the super-heated water, causing it to seek the weakest part of the stem, the node. This is how the blow holes are caused in the nodes: the water has exploited the nodes and created an escape hatch, so to speak. Infrasound atomizes the water molecule and creates steam or mist. And that is what people watching the Julia Set forming at Stonehenge saw; the same has been reported by farmers who've came across new crop circles early in the morning on their land. But there's more. "This super-heating of the plant will start to char the base of the stems as well as the nodes, and in genuine crop circles you will see this effect. As the plant is now top-heavy- due to the water having escaped- and the base of the stem having been made subtle by the heating, it now bends over and falls down in its new and re-hardened horizontal position. There's an article on my website which describes this is simpler detail than in the book, at http://cropcirclesecrets.org/crop_circles_sound.html http://cropcirclesecrets.org Hope this is helpful. Feel free to circulate this." |
Further comments from Lucy Pringle on the mist. "The mist would appear to be as a result of cool water vapour rising from the aquifer (underground spring) beneath and behaves in a manner similar to what happens in the lab when electrical discharges are created through water and different patterns emerge on the surface. Mist forms a little distance from the triggering point, which would support what occurred in this case, M could see the circle growing. It is when the hydrogen atoms re-combine that all this happens as it draws in ambient energy. This is where the excess energy appears from. As for height, it would be no higher than the radius of the formation created and the mist cloud would grow as the formation grew - i.e. the mist is effect of and not the cause of the formation." |
