Friday morning I was expecting to hear from Paul after exchanging a number of
e-mails during the week about the 1989 Cheesefoot Head sound analysis he did
for me. I was looking out for his anticipated message when I received an e-mail
from Kerry McKenna with Paul's name in the subject line. Instead of the reply I
was expecting from Paul it was the shocking news that his body had been
washed up in the English Channel at Southsea, near where he lived.
Like many of my research colleagues and friends I am deeply shocked and upset
at this terrible loss.
Paul was reliable and trusted by all of his friends and others who knew him. A
genuinely nice person and a highly intelligent young man.
We had carried out a number pf projects together over the years, since I first met
him at the launch of 'Circular Evidence' near Winchester in 1989. Paul met me
there with his lovely mother, who could hardly contain her love for him. I could
see where his gentle nature came from.
He visited my home in Andover several times with every electronic gadget known
to man and even more amazing was that he knew how they all worked.
I wondered if I should share a strangeness in our final correspondence this week
and believe there is no harm in doing so. I shared this with my friend Dave Haith
a short while ago.
It was as if we knew we were saying goodbye to each other.
One day before Paul was reported missing, Wednesday (Feb 18th) in what was
to be the last e-mail from Paul at 3.41 pm (UK), he said:
.............."Anyway, keep up the good work, and I'm sure that those genuine
seekers for the truth will be able to wade through the various arguments and
politics, if they don't get fed up in the meantime! - Best regards Paul".
My reply to him and the last e-mail sent read:
"Paul, I want you to know its the open and fair way you conduct yourself that I
admire and tell others about. I so appreciate and like your approach. I cant see
how anyone would find a problem with that approach but as we both know,
somehow they do.......OK, have a good one Paul. Colin"
At around 7.0 pm US Eastern time, Mid-night in England, I went to the barn to
feed our animals and had the most eerie feeling, of quiet peace, also of a
presence. This very strange feeling is one Ive had before when terrible things
like this have happened. I came back to our house and told my wife about the
feeling. I later learned that this was one hour after Paul was reported missing.
Below is a statement by Paul posted on his website which speaks to the nature of
the man.

A personal message from the webmaster
I believe that throughout the universe we meet many wonderful and unique
individuals, each travelling on their path to happiness, insight and knowledge.
We are all souls who have spent time on this Earth in order to learn lessons and
share information with our fellow beings. Before we depart this three dimensional
existence we give back a little part of the universe in the form of love, knowledge
and conscious awareness. The planet as a whole will benefit from our love and
caring.
Crop circles have had a profound effect on thousands of people who have
witnessed and studied them through the years. Irrespective of origin, they have
acted as a catalyst to learning, understanding and spirituality as we strive to
understand the meaning and purpose behind the genuine crop circles.
I created this web site with the aim of sharing information and creating a forum by
which people of like-minded souls around the planet can communicate with each
other in order to spread love, light and positivity to the planet.
There is so much pain and sadness in the world at the moment, we need to send
love and understanding around the globe, in order to heal the planet and send
inspiration to those who need it, whoever they are and whatever their agenda.
Together we can make the world a better place.
Whether you're looking for the latest crop circles or scientific evidence and
research or just browsing the beautiful photos and designs, I hope you enjoy this
web site and I wish you well on your path to happiness and enlightenment.

Body found washed ashore in Southsea
20 February 2009
By Fran Duckett-Pike
Police are investigating after the body of a man was discovered in the sea off
Southsea seafront.
The body of 44-year-old Paul Vigay was discovered in the sea at Eastney on
Friday morning. Police said Mr Vigay, of Manners Road, Southsea, had been
reported missing at 11pm on Thursday night. The body was discovered by a
member of the public who was out on the beach walking their dog.
Police were called at 8.10am yesterday to the seafront next to the Royal
Marines Museum, in Eastney where the body was found 10 metres from the
shoreline. Police cordoned off the area. Police say Mr Vigay's death is not being
treated as suspicious.
A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: 'We were called by a member of the
public after they saw the body in the water. 'The police, with the help of the
coastguard, brought him in.'
She added: 'Investigations are under way.' The Portsmouth Coastguard Rescue
Team and an inshore lifeboat were on the scene assisting the police.
Local residents said they were shocked to hear about what happened in an
area that is usually very quiet.............................
Another resident added: 'I have no idea what has happened. I heard a police
siren and I looked out the window and saw the police cars. It was a bit of a
surprise - and it's not a nice surprise. I know the police interviewed a couple of
dog walkers.'
Undertakers were called to take the body away and a post mortem examination
will be carried out to try to establish the circumstances which led to Mr Vigay's
death.
Anyone with information should contact Portsmouth Police on 0845 045 4545 or
01962 841534, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Paul Vigay's funeral
Monday, March 16, 2009
Dear Friends
Under cloudless blue skies crop circle/UFO researcher and computer
wizard Paul Vigay (44) was laid to rest on Monday in a 'natural' funeral at
the Sustainability Centre woodland burial ground near Petersfield,
Hampshire .
A horse and cart carried the coffin, and the 200 mourners walked slowly
behind through a beautiful silent forest to a clearing where a lone
saxophonist played 'Over the Rainbow' accompanied only by wild
birdsong and the whispering of the swaying forest trees.
Paul's sister Fran had written a beautiful pagan type soliliquy (spelling?)
involving all the elements which she cast onto the coffin and then we
all sprinkled flower petals into the grave.
Then back in the centre came a beautiful 90 minute service with fellow
researchers, family and friends all giving their touching tributes to Paul.
At the front was Paul's mother Mavis and his father John who lit five
candles on a small table on which was a photo of Paul.
There was much humour among the tears, music written specially for
Paul and then a jazz band played while abundant veggie and vegan food
was served.
Before leaving the Vigay family offered mourners potted acorns to plant
in memory of nature loving Paul. A website has been set up so planters
can record where in the world Paul's mighty oaks-to-be are located.
I took a number of photos for people abroad who couldn't attend.
Love and Blessings

Inquest Verdict on the Sudden Death of Paul Vigay
January 19, 2010
Colin Andrews
The sudden death in February last year of well known crop circle, UFO and
government conspiracies researcher Paul Vigay is acknowledged as a mystery by
the inquest verdict yesterday. By that I mean I share the concerns of Paul's family
that if the police could find no hard evidence of the cause that an open verdict
should be made which technically leaves the cause of death as inconclusive and
therefor it remains a mystery. By what I have learned from those closer to the
police investigation than I, the police came to an very early conclusion and
therefor did not take the normal steps to pursue all possibilities.
The inquest into the sudden death of my friend and fellow researcher Paul Vigay
took place in Portsmouth, England Monday 18, January 2010.
Paul continues to be greatly missed by me and all who knew and loved him with his
honesty and happy demeanor. Rumors naturally have abounded about what
happened.
I have refrained from adding my own thoughts and concerns out of respect for
Paul’s family, who have been through hell and back. I am aware that they have
been living with certain facts that have made all this even harder than it might
have been. These facts I will again leave to be spoken by them. I believe certain
details about the police investigation will be announced after media publications
about the inquest are published in the British media tomorrow (Wednesday 20th).
Meanwhile it is known that the inquest returned an open verdict, meaning no
actual evidence can be found as to how Paul died. The mystery surrounding Paul
Vigay’s death has been legally acknowledged by this outcome.
Additional information will be posted when appropriate, including the media
coverage anticipated tomorrow and afterwards.

Comment by Colin Andrews
February 17, 2010.
The above article which appeared in the Portsmouth News does not cover a number of
family concerns about the police investigation. I have kept in close contact with Paul's family
and can say that they are deeply concerned by inaccuracies and shortcomings by
Hampshire Police and now the article they were promised by the Newspaper journalist
concerned, giving them an opportunity to share those publicly has been severely edited
down.
I can only imagine that having spent nearly 15 years myself in the emergency services in
UK, I know that local newspapers get a lot of their bread and butter stories from the police
and keeping favour with them ensures they are kept informed. A large detailed negative
article about the police in the newspaper may not have been productive for them, hence this
short version.
An assumption by the police that Paul committed suicide based only upon a distressing
evening, a note to his girlfriend telling her he loved her is not proof of anything. Especially
so because some of the details known to me and Paul's family dont make sense. The police
themselves made big mistakes and two vital telephone calls they claim to have made were
never received by family members who they claimed to have called. Sadly this might be the
last we will hear about the case and Paul's family and friends are left with not being
completely clear what took place on the sea front at Portsmouth that night. Surveillance
camera's might have offered conclusive evidence but the police failed to view those too and
now they have been wiped. ------------------------- END
To all of the parties who touched Paul in his final hours and to Paul himself - Be at peace in
your hearts.
