Former Senior Military Officers and other United States Government witnesses say UFO's circumvented secret controls to Nuclear warheads. Important Press Conference Posted September 26, 2010

Mr. Salas goes to Washington (again)
by Billy Cox
Retired Air Force captain Robert Salas insists he’s “not as
naive as I used to be” back in 2001, the first time he
shared his eyewitness account with a National Press Club
audience about how UFOs disabled an ICBM missile field
in 1967. He erroneously assumed the mainstream media
might actually be curious about how America’s nuclear
arsenal could be so easily breached.
But speaking out nine years ago wasn’t a total loss,
considering how his example emboldened other former
USAF operatives like Bruce Fenstermacher — a
Minuteman III launch control officer in the Seventies — to
step up with their own stories about UFOs snooping
around Uncle Sam’s WMDs. On Monday afternoon,
Fenstermacher will join Salas and five more veterans at
the same venue in yet another (probably doomed) effort
to stoke a little interest in our strategic vulnerabilities. All
told, UFOs and Nukes author/event organizer Robert
Hastings has vetted well over 115 veterans with individual
pieces of this disturbing puzzle.
Salas, whose story is also cited in Leslie Kean’s
compelling New York
Times bestseller UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government
Officials Go On the Record, says he has “no high
expectations” for this event, either. Nor does he share any
of Kean’s enthusiasm for jump-starting a new scientific
study of the Great Taboo.
“Unless our government comes forward and makes an
official statement that this phenomenon is real, that there’
s something to it, there’s just no way we’re going to
generate political support for a new study,” Salas says.
“There is excessive secrecy in government. And nobody
likes excessive secrecy, because that obviously leads to
abuses. And that is the political connection to the UFO
phenomenon. Even if (Kean) gets a new study going, it’s
going to bump into the well-entrenched secrecy committee
and you’re going to wind up with a regurgitation of the
Condon report.” (If you don’t know about Condon,
nevermind, it’s a long story.) “And we’ll wind up right back
where we started.”
Salas’ idea of a best-case scenario arising from Monday’s
event? Being brought up on federal charges for violating
the security oath he signed in ‘67 shortly after the nukes
crashed.
“Oh, I would welcome a prosecution,” he says from his
home in California. “As long as I had an open public trial.”
He chuckles. “And not in some basement somewhere.”
Considering how nobody went to prison for the felony of
blowing a CIA agent’s cover during wartime in 2003, Salas
is probably home free.

Washington D.C. Press Conference: UFO's
and Nukes.
E-mail sent by Dean Harpporte
Actually, this is old news in that very similar press
conferences have been held before with around
20 testimonies, which is about all the time that is
available. Many more submit written testimonis, up
to 400 in all I believe, to the press. At every new
press conference there are always a few new
military people testifying orally or in print.
By definition, classified documents are not
released. But some unclassified documents
backup the less spectacular parts of the
testimonies. A few classified documents have been
pirated and released which very clearly backup
the military testimony. However, it is impossible to
prove without doubt that they are genuine. The
government has clandestinely released
documents that are clearly fake, which is classic
disinformation, which casts doubt on any valid
documents.
There are more than enough solid facts and a
great amount of probable cause that UFOs have
influenced military capability for the press to take
the matter seriously and do an in depth
investigation. Yet each of these National Press
Club press conferences gets a few sentences on
CNN and a couple of paragraphs of print coverage
and is then forgotten. So, people who might care
about this matter, such as yourself, reasonably
conclude that those who testify are nuts or liars.
The press has a reasonable understanding with
the government not to divulge or seriously
investigate all matters pertaining to national
security, so it is not surprising that it will not touch
the UFO issue with a ten foot pole. Except for a
few very courageous journalists who, of course, no
longer work for major news organizations. One of
these is Leslie Kean, who wrote an indepth article
verifying much of what the military people testify to
in the leading Boston newspaper, The Boston
Globe, in 2000. It took a lot of effort and months of
vetting to get the editors of the Globe to publish it.
Yet it was not picked up by the general press. The
Great Falls newspaper published the testimony of
the military witnesses (one of whom was
hospitalized when he had a heart attack) at the
time the missiles were incapacitated at the nearby
Malmstrom AFB in 1976. Yet the national press did
not distribute the story.
I have been reading Leslie Kean's new book which
quotes many high level government and military
people about UFO reality. If you have any interest
you could skim it online at amazon.com.

Aliens Are Monitoring Our Nukes, Worry Ex-Air Force Officers
Published September 23, 2010

Captain Robert Salas was on duty in Montana in 1967 when a UFO shut down the nuclear missiles on
his base. And he's hardly the only one to make such a claim.
On Monday, six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man will break their silence
about similar events at the National Press Club, all centering around unidentified flying objects and
nuclear missiles. They plan to urge the government to publicly confirm the incidents, stating that they
were ordered never to discuss the events.
"We're talking about unidentified flying objects, as simple as that," Salas told FoxNews.com. "They're
often known as UFOs, you could call them that," he added. Salas, a former U.S. Air Force nuclear
missile launch officer, will host the event along with researcher Robert Hastings, author of "UFOs and
Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites.
According to the pair, witness testimony from more than 120 former or retired military personnel points
to an ongoing and alarming intervention by unidentified aerial objects at nuclear weapons sites, as
recently as 2003. In some cases, several nuclear missiles simultaneously and inexplicably
malfunctioned while a disc-shaped object silently hovered nearby.
"I was on duty when an object came over and hovered directly over the site," Salas said, regarding the
March 16, 1967, event at Malmstrom AFB in Montana. "The missiles shut down, 10 Minuteman
missiles. And the same thing happened at another site a week later," he said.
Are they evidence of unknown military action from a foreign country, or are these extraterrestrial
visitors? Salas thinks the answer is clear -- and finds it curious that they're so interested in our
nuclear arsenal.
"There's a strong interest [in our missiles] by these objects, wherever they come from. I personally
think they're not from planet Earth."
Another participant, retired Col. Charles Halt, observed a disc-shaped object directing beams of light
down into the RAF Bentwaters airbase in England and heard on the radio that they landed in the
nuclear weapons storage area. Both men claim the Air Force warned them never to disclose details of
the events.
"The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at
nuclear bases and we can prove it," Salas said. Col. Halt adds, "I believe that the security services of
both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted -- both then and now -- to subvert the
significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of
disinformation."
The group plans to distribute declassified U.S. government documents at the event that they claim will
substantiate the reality of UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites extending back to 1948. The press
conference will also address present-day concerns about the abuse of government secrecy as well as
the ongoing threat of nuclear weapons.
"This is only the tip of the iceberg, these stories," Salas told FoxNews.com.

UFOs & Nukes Press Conference The Morning Show - Australia Sep 27th, 2010
|
Today at the National Press Club in Washington, DC:
Testimony from seven former members of the United States Air Force was presented to more than two
dozen print and television reporters. The subject was the UFO-Nukes Connection.
It was sponsored and organized by researcher Robert Hastings, author of UFOs and Nukes:
Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, and Capt. Robert Salas (USAF retired). It is the
direct connection to nuclear facilities and national security.
Notably the event was live streamed in full by CNN to the Internet and is available at:
www.blip.tv/file/4172861
"What should happen now," stated PRG executive director Stephen Bassett, who attended
the event, "is for members of the political press to direct specific questions regarding this
testimony at the press spokespersons for the Department and Defense, U.S. Air Force and
the Central Intelligence Agency and expect answers from Secretaries Robert Gates,
Michael Donley and Leon Panetta."
"At least that is what is supposed to happen if the political media in Washington, DC are not
under government- or self-imposed restraints."

FURTHER UPDATE October 29 ,2010
Headline: Military: Power Outage at Nuke Site Entrusted With 50 Missiles
Published October 26, 2010 | FoxNews.com
Comment by Colin: For nearly one hour this weekend the United States were denied nearly a third of their US land-based Nuclear missiles - Something wrong with the official explanation. Officials said some of its underground cables "experienced an anomaly" and communication was disrupted as a result.
In other words a cable problem was 'Likely' the cause???? It sounded a bit suspicious to me as it seems reasonable to assume that such a vital facility would have its own back-up or double back-up power. Also no single network could jeopardise full operation of such critical infrastructure BUT IT DID or so they say. Wonder if this was just another "demo" . The Story HERE
